I Became the Male Lead's Lackey

A cute damsel in disguise as a man VS a ruthless big shot Shen Qing transmigrates into the body of a toady serving a powerful big shot. A toady’s main job is to flatter his master. To keep her secret identity from being exposed, Shen Qing has no choice but to diligently play the toady’s part. Every day, she’s either flattering the big shot or thinking of new ways to flatter him. Everyone at the Ji residence knows that Third Master Ji’s distant cousin, whose relation to him goes back who knows how many generations, is not only a master storyteller and braggart, but also a consummate flatterer. On the first day the toady Shen Qing meets the big shot: Shen Qing: “Third Master, you’re as handsome as a jade tree, in the prime of your life, and a picture of dignity.” Third Master Ji: “Not bad. You know how to flatter.” The uneducated toadies A, B, and C gritted their teeth. “So what if you know a few fancy idioms?” Shen Qing gave them a scornful look. “I know more than just idioms.” Third Master Ji: “What else can you do?” Shen Qing slapped her thigh. “Whatever Third Master lacks, I can provide. I know the heavens and the earth, and everything from ancient times to the present. That’s the sort of person I am.” Everyone: “Look at you, showing off. Third Master has everything he needs. The only thing he lacks is a wife. Can you conjure one up or what?” Shen Qing, disguised as a man: “...I don’t know if I count as a wife, but I really can turn into one.”
