The Hero's Creed

The banshee owner of the Misfortune Tavern really is a kind soul who knows just what to say. After downing a glass of Midnight, Tang Dun starts complaining: Why am I, a Templar, stuck with a bunch of underlings from the dark faction?

"Maybe if you pose as a Death Knight once in a while, you'll get to meet the Queen of the Forsaken!" the owner offers, unconvincingly, before scolding the banshee maids who keep rubbing up against Tang Dun.

"Nobody wants to deal with the undead all day. Take them out, and you won't see a single pretty girl," Tang Dun grumbles.

"The ghoul corps care about nothing but raw meat, and always skip their daily etiquette lessons. The abomination corps have recently become obsessed with bandages, convinced that slightly yellowish linen is the height of fashion, so now they're all wrapped up like mummies. Even the succubus maid corps have started openly demanding paid leave!"

After buying an all-knowing and all-powerful ancient grimoire from one of the continent's five legendary wandering merchants, Tang Dun, a commoner boy, embarks on his path to conquest!
