I Lost Money Making Tractors, So Why Is This a Tank?

Also known as: “How I Lost My Way to Becoming a Tycoon, Starting with the Shift from Civilian to Military Production” and “I Tried Hard to Lose Money, So How Did I Become an Arms Dealer?”

Losing money is all it takes to become the richest man in the world. But Lu Fan discovers that losing money by running factories is harder than it sounds. Gas cylinders, seamless steel pipes, industrial fans, tractors, paint, and dock mooring ropes are all mistaken for military weapons and become hits in the Middle Eastern arms market.

He only wanted to lose money, but instead he helps propel Huaxia’s military industry to new heights.

One cutting-edge weapon after another appears: the H-20, nuclear-powered electromagnetic catapult carriers, the Type 055 destroyer, the YJ-21 anti-ship missile, the DF-40, and the Luan Bird aerospace carrier.

Even seemingly impossible projects turn a profit one after another, including Shanhe University, the Mount Everest elevator, air conditioning for the Earth, space elevators, controlled nuclear fusion, EUV lithography machines, and crewed lunar missions.

When reporters interview Lu, now the richest man in the world, he complains:

“I only wanted to lose money at first. But the more I lost, the richer I got, until I became the richest man in the world!”
