Stealing a Kiss in the Moonlight

[Medical student vs. neurosurgeon]

When Yun Nuo was twenty, she fell for Zhou Chongyue. The differences in their age, seniority, and life experience made her hesitate again and again. Even after they got together, pressure from those around them led her to insist that they keep their relationship secret.

The man agreed to the girl’s demand, but in public and in private, he never missed a chance to stake his claim.

At a department team-building event, the new intern, Yun Nuo, drew a truth question.

A colleague asked, “Is there anyone here among the men who fits your type?”

Yun Nuo said, “No.”

The colleague nodded and was about to move on when Dr. Zhou, seated in the corner, interrupted in a calm voice. “Have her answer that question again.”

Everyone: ??

After the event, Yun Nuo was passing the restroom when a male resident from her department stopped her to confess his feelings. She froze, at a loss for words. Before she could say anything, someone walked out of the men’s restroom beside them.

As Zhou Chongyue washed his hands, he warned the man, “You’d better give up. Her family won’t allow it.”

“Her family?”

“Me.”

Yun Nuo: …

In everyone else’s eyes, Zhou Chongyue was a brilliant doctor, upright and disciplined.

In Yun Nuo’s eyes, he was older and knew how to take care of her, but he could be awfully petty.

No matter which side of him she saw, Yun Nuo believed that some people were destined to become her heroes from the moment they were born.
