You Said You Could Kill Evil Spirits Without Me, So Why Are You Crying Now?

After transmigrating to Blue Star, where the uncanny has invaded, Chu He becomes the War God who guards the Demon Cavern alone. Years later, the first queen in the history of Great Jing takes the throne. She makes public footage of Chu He spending his days brewing tea and reading, accusing him of neglecting his duty and putting him on public trial before the entire nation. Overnight, everyone turns against Chu He. The queen appoints twelve beautiful young women to guard the Demon Cavern in his place. Chu He only smiles, offering no explanation. His icy CEO wife also chooses to divorce him, saying he is an embarrassment. Little does she know that everything she has now depends on the glory of his title as the nation’s War God. Chu He is actually tired of it all. Living an ordinary life sounds pretty good, too. The queen even declares in a public speech, “We can exterminate the evil spirits without him!” “Her Majesty sees through everything. Otherwise, we’d still be kept in the dark by those parasites!” “The queen is so beautiful! I’d gladly give my life for you!” But just as the twelve young women, who have captured the nation’s attention, arrive at the Demon Cavern, countless evil spirits erupt from within. In the blink of an eye, corpses litter the ground. The united forces of Great Jing’s strongest fighters assemble, only to be slaughtered with overwhelming ease! “We feared Chu He. What makes you swine think you can suppress us?” The evil spirits pour out in full force, cackling wildly. “Can we really not manage without him?” The queen despairs. “So the evil spirits in the Demon Cavern are this terrifying. Chu He, we were wrong. Please come back!” The people break down. “You said you could kill evil spirits without me. So why are you crying now?” Chu He says coldly.
