Chasing Starlight

[Humble, secretly passionate powerful male lead & clearheaded, independent cool beauty] When he was ten, in a corner of the orphanage, Chen Chen clutched his dirt-caked hands and encountered the only light of his life. Bai Xingyu ran toward him with Ultraman in her arms. Her dazzling figure became his sole faith in those bleak years. After she left, he took up the name she had casually mentioned. He told everyone his name was Bai Xinglan, hiding that flutter in his heart through the passing years. They never met again. She never returned to the orphanage. He protected her year after year. Even as he watched that light shine on someone else, he still fell for her wildly and surrendered himself without restraint, praying the gods would grant him one chance. Years later, they meet again. He has grown in silence into a powerful figure who can turn the world upside down, yet he is still the boy gazing up at the light, daring only to be its quietest guardian in the shadows. He hides all his sharp edges, humble to the point of disappearing into the dust. When the woman he has secretly loved rushes into his arms in tears, he can no longer bear to let her remain unaware of him. At last, she turns around, gently wipes away his tears, and gives him an answer: “All right. With you by my side, I’ll keep shining.” It turns out the light he had dreamed of finally shines on him. At the end of his careful, secret love, Bai Xingyu’s light has come for him.
