Transmigrated as a Wicked Villainess in the 1970S, I Win Over a Rugged Regiment Commander with My Cooking

[Military marriage in the 1970s + transmigrate into a book + food + raising a child + cozy everyday life] After transmigrating into the ungrateful, money-loving ex-wife from a period novel, Lin Wan looked at their bare-walled home and the child who was so hungry he was chewing his fingernails, then quietly rolled up her sleeves. While others mocked her for never lifting a finger, she tied on an apron and lit a wood stove in the kitchen of the frigid northern frontier. She turned rotten vegetable leaves into jade-green soup and potatoes into golden crisps, managing to fatten up the whole family in an era of scarce oil and food. At first, the other wives in the military compound turned up their noses. “City-bred educated youths are so delicate!” Later, they were peering through her windows every day. “Wanwan, what are you making today? Teach me!” She raised her daughter until she was plump and rosy-cheeked, and the little girl told everyone, “My mom is a master chef!” The rugged regiment commander turned into a devoted husband. If anyone dared say a bad word about his wife, he'd immediately turn on them and defend her. “My wife knows how to run a household. Who are you to criticize her?” Later... When news came that the college entrance exams were being reinstated, she kneaded dough while studying, and opened a little home-style restaurant on the side. From the military compound to the provincial capital, everyone knew that the wife of Commander Lu could turn the plainest ingredients into irresistible delicacies. And the officer who had once coldly handed her divorce papers now wandered to the kitchen late at night, blanket in his arms. “Wifey, I'm hungry. Could you fry up another plate of potatoes?” “...And maybe we can talk about having a second child?”
