Yesterday's Tender Embrace

Shen Manxi had once loved a man deeply. Back then, they were poor, crammed into a walk-up apartment in a small county town.

When passion took over and they were wrapped in each other's arms, she said haughtily,

"I'm not easy. If you want me, you need to at least be able to afford a wedding dress."

The man's muscles tensed as he held himself back, but he slowly stepped away and kissed her forehead, indulging her.

"Not just a wedding dress. You'll have a diamond ring and a grand wedding, too. Our Manman deserves the very best."

Later, he really did become rich, but he married a wealthy heiress instead and personally sent her to prison.

Three years behind bars extinguished every last bit of her innocence.

After getting out, Shen Manxi hooked up with Qin Yu, a rich young master, just to survive.

But as their relationship progressed, she was horrified to discover that Qin Hezhou, the second son of the Qin family, looked remarkably like the first love who had sent her to prison.

The man abducted her, pressing her at every turn and refusing to let go.

"You promised you'd be with me for the rest of your life. Not one day less, not even one hour."

Qin Hezhou's motto was that you should never make the same concession more than three times, but he gave in four times for the same woman.

The first time, he said, "Don't touch her. I'll go with you."

The second time, he said, "You can fool around with him, but don't let him touch you."

The third time, he said, "Leave Qin Yu. I'll love the child as my own."

The fourth time, he said, "Manman, marry me."
