Underworld Public Service Bureau: The Department of Deliverance

Yan Wuxie, the youngest registrar in the Bureau of Crossing Misfortune, wields the Soul-Illuminating Mirror and the Brush of Judgment, specializing in unresolved cases involving lingering shadows among the living. The underworld is strict, rifts in the netherworld appear frequently, and the Nameless Abyss devours souls, while the truth lies hidden in the Silent Testimony Mark. Whenever she solves a case, three words of truth appear at the tip of her brush, pointing directly to the heart of cause and effect. Behind her first case, a blood-sacrifice ritual, lies a mystery from her own past: how she came to join the bureau. The Silent Testimony Mark whispers without end. The lingering souls of old acquaintances emerge, along with her mother’s shadow, the former registrar’s sacrifice, the Bureau Chief’s offering... Layer upon layer of secrets point to a hidden scheme within the Heavenly Order Bureau. She burns away resentment and hatred with karmic fire, defies fate and changes the heavens, and finally reaches the bottom of the Nameless Abyss, where she uncovers the secret behind the creation of the underworld.
