The Foolish Husband I Picked Up Is Actually a Billionaire

Jiang Tingchuan is renowned in Beijing’s elite circles as a ruthless, calculating and heartless business magnate, as well as the heir to the top-tier Jiang family. Yet he disappears a week before his engagement.

In a remote town, convenience store owner Lin Ruan is cheated on by her scumbag boyfriend, while her parents pressure her to marry an old bachelor in the village. In desperation, she grabs a simple-minded man by the roadside. “Marry me, and you’ll have food and a place to stay.”

She names him Shen Mo, thinking she’s found a free bodyguard. Little does she know that the simple-minded man who shields her from her ex, secretly sells an exorbitantly expensive watch to pay for her grandmother’s treatment, and protects her with his body when a shelf falls on her is actually Jiang Tingchuan, the missing tycoon from Beijing’s elite circles!

“Shen Mo, once you find your family, you can leave.” Lin Ruan touches the scar on his temple.

He stubbornly shakes his head and buries his face in the crook of her neck. “Wife, I’m not leaving.”

Only after he gets into a car accident and the Jiang family arrives in force to claim him does she realize that she can no longer live without this “simpleton.”

But when Shen Mo wakes, his gaze is icy. “Who are you?”

His memories have returned, but he has forgotten her alone.

Shen Mo becomes the aloof president of the Jiang Corporation, with a well-matched fiancée at his side. She is now no more than an insignificant interlude in his life.

On the day her grandmother dies, the Lin family of Jing City comes to her door. “Ruanruan, we’re your biological parents.”

Lin Ruan sees things clearly. Even without love, she still has her dreams.

She turns to reclaim her interpreter’s license, only to be stopped at the entrance to the United Nations Headquarters by the very man who treated her so coldly.

“Lin Ruan,” he says, eyes red, looking just like the simpleton who used to fear making her angry. “Come home with me, okay?”
