When the Flowers Bloom

A heroine who is a table tennis player with psychological struggles, and a hero who is a designer with hearing loss

A warm, healing little love story / mutual salvation / 1v1, happy ending

The Olympic Games, held once every four years, had just ended. The table tennis team members who hadn’t made it to the Olympics returned to the team as scheduled. On her way back, Chi Wan stopped to shelter from the rain and bought a bouquet of flowers, but… forgot to pay for them.

A few days later, while training and drenched in sweat at the national table tennis training center, Chi Wan caught sight of the head coach entering with several unfamiliar men. One of them looked just like the florist she’d run into that day.

Her first thought was: He’s here to collect the money!

The coach beckoned to her and was just about to say, “He’s here to get inspiration for a project with our team…”

when Chi Wan blurted out in front of everyone, “I paid you back!”

Her teammates and coach: “???”

Luo Ning: “…”

Luo Ning, who was deaf and mute, opened his mouth, nearly bursting out laughing.

After Chi Wan explained what had happened, the onlookers assumed it was just a comical chance encounter. That is, until they noticed that fresh flowers beaded with dew appeared every day in the room of Chi Wan, who was usually so carefree and had no sense of romance.

The floral scent made the teammates sneeze. They all wore thoughtful expressions:

Just when did that guy manage to steal the base right under our noses?
