Sword of Great Power

In October 2015, the Ministry of Public Security established the fourth peacekeeping police anti-riot team to Liberia, and handed over the task of formation to the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Border Corps. In response to the national call, 140 border police officers from Zhejiang Province participated in the anti-riot team after being carefully selected. After being selected by the United Nations, the team went to the West African country Liberia in 2016. During the one-year peacekeeping mission, 140 peacekeeping police officers experienced harsh natural environments, complex power struggles, tense battles on duty, and deadly plague viruses. They used Zhejiang's unique "hard spirit" to compose heart-stirring heroic hymns on the distant land of West Africa. All of them were awarded "Peace Medals" by the United Nations. The riot team was also commended as "Peacekeeping Iron Army" by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government.
