Back to 1969: From Commune Kitchen Hand to State Banquet Chef

[Period] + [Educated Youth] + [Sent Down to the Countryside] + [Rural Life] + [Gourmet] + [Reborn] Reborn in 1969, Li Weigang swore he would never again let the educated-youth girl he adored suffer the slightest indignity! Bound to a Gourmet Reputation System, his cooking skills were instantly maxed out. He won everyone over with dishes fried, stir-fried, braised, and deep-fried to perfection! The educated-youth station was short on grain and vegetables? He made hearty dishes in endless varieties, keeping everyone full and energized. The times were chaotic and opportunities scarce? His mastery of Sichuan, Shandong, Huaiyang, and Cantonese cuisine made him a hot commodity, with every major work unit vying to hire him! The educated-youth station, the commune canteen, and state-run enterprises all competed for him. He rose from an ordinary educated youth to a top technical expert! People are made of iron, and food is steel. Li Weigang used his spatula to cook his way to status. “With me around, going hungry is out of the question. And you’re mine, too!”
