Looking for Roots

This work begins with the Indonesian overseas Chinese Huang Zhenbang returning to Xinzheng City, Henan Province, with his ancestral village pictures and jade pendants to search for his roots and worship his ancestors. After Huang Zhenbang worshiped his ancestors in Huangdong Village, he had insights in the chat with his nephew Huang Tianliang, and his emotions were sublimated, completing the ideological transformation from small family ancestor worship to national ancestor worship. As the story progresses, through the revival of folk sacrifices, the promotion of local officials, and the help of overseas Chinese, the ancestor worship of the Yellow Emperor in Xinzheng has evolved from a scattered custom into a unique local cultural business card. Through the interaction between four generations of the Huang family and villagers, cultural relics bureaus, and heads of relevant departments, the work presents the transformation of traditional culture from local memories to Henan cultural symbols to international business cards, reflecting the symbiosis between Henan cultural inheritance and local development.
