[Fast-paced, no dragging things out + showing off in front of everyone + pure wish fulfillment] After taking the blame for someone else, Ning Chuan was beaten to death because he refused to admit defeat. Luckily, the Empress Lin Wei from the Upper Realm brought him back to life. But the Empress didn't treat him like a person. To her, he was just a toy. If he wanted freedom and respect from her, he would have to keep getting stronger. Luckily, after a night of dual cultivation, Ning Chuan awakened the ancient treasure, the Demon-Suppressing Banner. From then on, the Ning Chuan who had once feared battle was gone. By killing enemies, he could absorb their souls and turn them into power for himself, with a chance of obtaining other rare items as well! The Great Zhou is corrupt, its territory riddled with powerful clans that enslave living beings. With the Great Zhou court helpless to act, Ning Chuan proclaimed, “All under heaven belongs to the king; all who live within its borders are his subjects!” At a time of crisis, he will turn the tide! If the court can be saved, he will save it. If not, he will take its place!
