The Little Tyrant of the Frontier

Yang Xiu had barely transmigrated when his imperial uncle usurped the throne. As blood spilled across the court, he fled for his life and ended up in a remote border town at the junction of the Three Kingdoms. Relying on the quick wits of a transmigrator, he became the notorious young tyrant of a city that no one governed.

To reclaim his lost empire, he played the Great Yan, Western Qi, and Northern Hu against one another, thriving by making friends on every side. He resorted to every possible scheme to extort money and goods, becoming a real scoundrel of the chaotic age.

"Western Qi wants passage through my territory? Three hundred Ferghana horses and five hundred sets of rattan armor. Not one less!"

"The Northern Hu caravan is begging to enter the city for protection? Leave half the goods behind. And the beauties... ahem, I suppose I'll take them too!"

"The Great Yan strategist has been waiting outside the city for three days? Go tell him to wait another month. He thinks he can dine with me after bringing just a thousand sets of armor? No chance!"

By the time he had fleeced every faction until not a scrap of wool remained, the man had somehow grown into a powerful lord!
