Schemes in the Brocade Hall

Xu Huiling doesn't understand love.

She watched her mother die after being humiliated and abused by the Xu family, and was sent to a Taoist temple under the pretext that she was hysterical. She nearly died there.

Two years later, she returned to the Xu family a changed person, meek and submissive. Yet disaster after disaster struck the family, and misfortune followed them everywhere.

She watched with a smile as the Xu family called her cold and heartless.

Li Changyun doesn't understand love either.

His father favored the Crown Prince, and for the prince's sake, repeatedly humiliated and tormented Li Changyun, making him a laughingstock throughout the realm.

Years later, he watched impassively as the Crown Prince made mistakes and fell from power. His father accused him of being heartless.

When he heard the Xu family accuse Xu Huiling of having no heart, he couldn't help thinking that perhaps two people who didn't understand love could explore it together and finally learn.
