Stop Pretending to Be Good

Summer is dazzling, and even the clouds seem drunk with joy. The summer of her second year of high school, a family crisis forced Xia Enc i to become a “hermit crab” and live under someone else’s roof. Humble and helpless, she swallowed her pride, hid her spoiled heiress temper, and did her best to seem sweet and well-behaved. The owner of the house, Qi Yu, took an immediate dislike to her for reasons of his own. The first time they met, he thought she was like a snail, and she annoyed him to death. When she went into the kitchen, Qi Yu impatiently chased her out. When she asked him for help, he scoffed. “Do you have some kind of misunderstanding about me? I’m no Bodhisattva. I don’t help with just anything.” Since she was living under his roof, Miss Xia dared not complain, no matter how angry she was. But later on, when people asked Qi Yu why he took such good care of her, he just smiled and replied nonchalantly, “I was born to be a Bodhisattva.” He even founded a brand with a little snail for its logo, said he wanted to be her dog, and was willing to do anything for her. Bodhisattva Qi Yu, in this life, you care for no one but her. She was a gift bestowed upon the world in the height of summer.
