Cultivation: Fellow Daoist, Why Is Your Ten Thousand Souls Banner Glowing Gold?

Xia Tian became the “disgrace” of Qingyun Sect's Puppet Peak. When his junior sister Qiuchan complained that his puppets were so weak they couldn't even beat ordinary people, Xia Tian simply smiled. “Junior Sister, have you ever heard of baiting the guilty into a trap?” I use my weakest puppets as bait to lure out evil spirits that terrorize the region. Then I purify them with my modified Banner of Ten Thousand Souls, turning their resentment into cultivation and their evil deeds into merit. And so, the world of cultivation underwent a dramatic change. While other cultivators fought bloody battles, he lounged around, raking in merit. While righteous masters and demonic overlords clashed for three hundred rounds, his puppets had already set up a stall nearby, shouting, “Switch sides for blessings! First-class seats in the cycle of reincarnation!” The demonic giants' Banners of Ten Thousand Souls were filled with wailing ghosts, while his banner shone with holy light, and the evil spirits begged to “immigrate.” The Underworld's Judge of the Dead considered him a “star contractor,” while Buddhist masters called him a “thief of merit.” Faced with the doubts of gods and Buddhas filling the sky, Xia Tian pointed at the brilliant wheel of merit behind his head and protested innocently, “I'm just a puppet master who wants to lie flat. I reached perfect merit by accident. How can you blame me?”
