Eight Ungrateful Brats from the Start? I'll Go Wild and Drive the Whole Family Crazy

She spent her whole life without children. Then she opened her eyes and became a self-sacrificing old woman in the 1970s, surrounded by children.

Wen Peilan grinned. "It's fine, it's fine. We'll just muddle through."

Her eldest daughter was so meek and easily bullied that her husband beat her to death.

Her second daughter had an affair, abandoned her husband and child, then was cruelly dumped and left to wander the streets.

Her third son thought only of selling his sister so he could live in comfort, but his family was destroyed and he died in despair.

Her fourth daughter was honest and hardworking, but worked herself to death in the fields.

Her fifth son was lazy and overambitious, and ended up in prison after taking the blame for someone else.

Her sixth daughter fell for a domineering CEO. Their relationship was torturous, and she not only died herself, but also sacrificed her younger brother's heart.

Her seventh daughter was determined to climb to the top. She changed husbands one after another, but after just a few years of good times, she and her husband both died.

Her youngest son was a good-for-nothing hoodlum who neglected his duties and was set up and beaten to death.

Wen Peilan: "It's fine, it's fine. If I'm not the one who died, it's fine."

But the children took their food and cursed her, hating their original mother for being useless and unfit to be a mother, while still expecting her to earn money and support the family.

What kind of sweet deal was that?

Wen Peilan's face turned cold. "They're spoiled rotten."

You can't indulge people: the more you indulge them, the worse they get. You can't give in to them: the more you give in, the more brazen they become.

Rather than work herself to death serving them, she might as well make those ungrateful wretches serve her.

She'd always been the one giving to them. How could they turn around and take advantage of her?

The selfless, perfect mother who devoted everything to her children was gone. In her place was a wicked old woman of the highest order!
