Global High Martial? No, I'm a Cultivator!

“Ji Chen! Your genetic activity is 62, and your blood and qi value is 89! You’re nowhere near passing the martial arts exam!” “In this era of global martial arts, with talent like yours, you’re not even qualified to be cannon fodder! Pay the 30,000 martial arts exam fee next week. If you’ve got no hope, get out while you can!” Ji Chen touched his youthful skin with his fingertips, but the millennia he had spent as a Sword Venerable felt like a haze. “A thousand-year dream… Was that really a dream?” The Taixu Essence-Congealing Art and the Profound Heaven Sword Canon were etched clearly in his mind. The next day, in the cheapest C-grade strength-testing room: “Bang! 247 kilograms!” The alloy target buckled deeply. “One hundred meters in 7.2 seconds!” “Nerve response… 92 percent! Grade A!” Liu Meng, a thug from the training hall, barged in with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. He stared at the smoking target, eyes wide. “The C-grade target can only take 250 kilograms! What the hell are you doing, kid?!” Ji Chen hid a nearly imperceptible streak of cyan light at his fingertip and smiled. “Guess I got lucky and awakened a bit of ‘latent genetic potential.’” As he looked at his parents’ ecstatic faces, he turned his gaze inward to the qi vortex in his dantian. Global martial arts? No. I cultivate the true path to immortality! And that broken sword in the incense burner… seems hungry?
