[A pretty, decisive, career-minded heroine x a seemingly harmless, secretly dark and calculating hero]

(The hero is strong, but the heroine is even stronger. He becomes completely love-struck later on, while she stays focused on her career from beginning to end. And behind that sweet, charming face, she'll kill anyone who stands in her way.)

From the moment the legitimate daughter of the Xie family was born, she was chosen to be the future crown princess.

At fourteen, she went on campaign with her father, distinguished herself in battle, and was made the Princess of Nanyang.

That same year, the emperor told her to choose a husband from among his ten sons.

Xie Zhili spotted the third prince in the crowd at once. The edict naming him crown prince and the decree arranging their marriage were issued at the same time.

But just one month before their wedding, the crown prince suddenly decided to take her half-sister as a secondary consort, and even planned to marry them both on the same day.

Xie Zhili promptly broke off the engagement and decided to choose another prince to support.
