Stitch by Stitch, I Stick It to My Ex-Husband

Married at fifteen and a mother at sixteen, Chen Xing'er is left behind when her husband is suddenly conscripted to defend the border. She brings her mother-in-law and two young children from the countryside to the county town. For eighteen years, she hand-weaves and embroiders by day, and washes and mends clothes by night, until her eyesight is ruined. When the couple finally reunites, her husband has become a great general, but has taken a nobleman's daughter as his new wife. She wants to leave, but someone can't bear to let her give up her reputation as a “virtuous, filial, chaste, and devoted” woman. So her husband locks her inside the estate, her mother-in-law orders her to grovel and make herself small, and her children resent her lowly birth. After four years of fruitless struggle, she is finally drained dry by a pack of ungrateful wolves. Given a second chance at life, Chen Xing'er has only two goals this time: Make the Li family pay. Give herself a good life.
