Reborn in the 1980s: The Timid Old Woman Leaves Her Husband and Children and Strikes It Rich

Everyone says raising children is a way to provide for your old age, but when Zhang’s three children were young, they made her take the blame for them. Once she was old and too frail to work, they squeezed every last bit of value out of her and abandoned her in a tumbledown house to fend for herself.

Reborn in her prime, she decides to live differently this time!

Her good-for-nothing husband cheats? She’ll divorce him.

She’ll take the house, the car, and every last penny!

Her children are unfilial? Then they can all get lost.

Who says their mother has to slave away for them?

Granny Zhang scavenges for old items and buys houses, waiting for them to be demolished. As soon as the news comes out, her children all come running, each trying to claim her for themselves.

Eldest son: “I’m the oldest, so Mom should live with me.”

Second son: “My family has Mom’s eldest grandson. At her age, she should be enjoying her grandchildren.”

Youngest daughter: “Mom, don’t listen to them. I’ll divorce right now and come live with you!”

Even her divorced, no-good husband comes crawling to her door: “Xiuying, I’ve realized I can’t live without you after all. Let’s get remarried!”

Zhang sees right through their schemes and drives them out with a big stick.

Shoo, shoo! This old lady is perfectly happy on her own!
