You Asked Me to Lead the Jie Sect, So Why Have All the Disciples Become Sages?

Jiang Longyin transmigrated to this primordial world during the Calamity of Investiture of the Gods, when the entire Jie Sect had sealed itself away in seclusion. At the will of the Heaven-Connecting Master, Jiang Longyin took charge of the sect and became its little-known acting leader. During the Calamity of Investiture of the Gods, the myriad races each fought for themselves, locked in fierce opposition. The Age of Dharma Decline was a time when the heavens were sealed off and the earth cut off. For humans and foreign races, cultivating to immortality was harder than reaching the heavens. Yang Jian: “I have to climb eighty-one flights of heavenly stairs before I can become your disciple? What am I supposed to do about my grudge?” Nezha: “I have to kill myself several times and use lotus roots to remake my body before I can attain the Dao? Am I some kind of masochist?” Shen Gongbao: “Come on, I come first in every test, so why can’t I become one of the Twelve Golden Immortals? I can’t compete with people who have connections? Just because I have no backing?” Without connections or a powerful lineage, it was impossible to get anywhere in the primordial world. And so... When Jiang Longyin founded his great sect, he awakened a golden finger: a ten-thousandfold return for recruiting disciples. “Anyone can join the Sky-Cutting Sect and cultivate immortality. No connections or social maneuvering required.” As more and more disciples joined, Jiang Longyin could also receive ten thousand times their cultivation in return. What’s more, as long as he was within the territory of a Jie Sect branch, he could gain strange abilities. When the Calamity of Investiture of the Gods arrived, the Grand Pure One, the Jade Pure One, and the Western Sect all pressured the Jie Sect to face the calamity. On the day the Jie Sect, which had been in seclusion, was beaten into disarray, Jiang Longyin led his disciples through the veiling chaos to emerge. The sect’s sages and disciples had all come out! The Ancestor Hongjun demanded of the Heavenly Dao, “How did the Jie Sect suddenly get over a hundred sages? Who exactly is facing the calamity? You’d better explain yourself.” The Heaven-Connecting Master gaped. “I asked you to act as head of the Jie Sect, and you made all the disciples into sages?” Jieyin and Zhunti: “Is the Jie Sect an AAA-rated wholesale supplier of sages?”
