The Ultimate Overachiever Gets Recruited into the Palace: I Studied My Way to Consort

Jiang Shuyue is a highly accomplished teacher who transmigrates into a palace-intrigue novel as a disposable low-ranking consort. The moment she opens her eyes, her family threatens her: if she doesn’t help her legitimate older sister rise to the rank of consort, they’ll kill her! Getting the daughter of a fifth-rank official promoted to consort is like getting a small-town test-taker into a top university? Easy! Her sister isn’t up to the task? She’ll train her! Can’t dance? She’ll put her through an intensive prep course! Afraid she won’t be able to keep the emperor’s attention? She knows a thing or two about bedroom skills, too! Her sister succeeds, but the family grows wary and wants to get rid of Jiang Shuyue? Then she’ll train someone else! Every one of her students will earn a guaranteed promotion to consort! Can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear? Nonsense! There are no students she can’t train, only teachers who don’t know how! Until one day, the emperor suddenly realizes that all the palace’s new ideas came from that low-ranking consort who’s always hiding in the shadows! So Jiang Shuyue starts training herself! She takes charge of arts, management, and teaching, earning the emperor’s affection and the empress’s favor. The consorts she’s helped advance all agree she’s someone they can trust! But to Jiang Shuyue, becoming a consort isn’t the finish line. There’s no end to pushing your students, and if she wants to survive, she has to keep striving! She teaches the Noble Consort yoga, starts a reading club for the low-ranking consorts, and makes the emperor’s favorites study management. Suddenly, the entire harem’s style changes: The consorts cling to their copy of Three Years to Promotion, Five Years of Practice Exams and sob: “Lady Jiang, can you stop pushing us so hard? We’ll never fight for the emperor’s favor again, isn’t that enough?” Jiang Shuyue: “Impossible. Absolutely impossible! There’s no student I can’t train!”
