Reborn as a Wicked Stepmother, She Wins Them Over with Her Cooking

Su Wan wakes up to find herself transmigrated into the body of a wicked stepmother. The original owner neither wants to remain a widow nor be anyone’s stepmother, and has made life miserable for her in-laws. When Su Wan arrives, her mother-in-law has finally had enough of the original owner’s cruelty and is ready to let her leave, as long as she pays back the twenty taels of silver given as her betrothal gift. Su Wan, who runs a restaurant, thinks: It’s only twenty taels. I can earn that. To save up the money, Su Wan gets up early and stays out late, selling delicious food from a street stall. But as she keeps selling, her mother-in-law grows reluctant to let her go, and her stepson and stepdaughter don’t want her to leave either. To persuade her daughter-in-law to stay, her mother-in-law even takes it upon herself to find her a match. But just as they find a suitable candidate, her son, who has been missing for years, returns. Su Wan is stunned. Who would have thought a husband could drop right out of the sky?
