The Catcher’s Sweetheart

The greatest regret of Constable Huo's life is that he has no son to carry on his legacy, so Huo Xiaoyu is forced to become a low-ranking constable who skives off at the yamen, all to fulfill her father's “dream.”

A Lord Yan arrives in Cloudmist City, accompanied by a bird. He looks like an immortal, but the bird is so ugly it's hard to look at.

As soon as this godlike figure arrives, one murder case after another follows. The two of them and their bird seek justice for the dead and bring comfort to the living, untangling one clue after another... They solve cases all the way from Cloudmist City to the capital, from petty rural disputes to shocking royal secrets.
