Period: A Flood Strikes from the Start, and I Rescue the Village Beauty

The Yangtze River basin has always suffered devastating floods. Special forces soldier Chen Xingping is reborn in 1964, a year of catastrophic flooding.

In his previous life, he paid an exorbitant bride price and married his childhood sweetheart in a lavish wedding, only to be betrayed.

His sweetheart got involved with a sent-down youth, became pregnant with his child, and put a green hat on Chen Xingping.

Not only that, she even stole the money his parents needed to survive their illnesses, leaving them to die sick and his newborn sister to die as well.

Now reborn, Chen Xingping stands in the rushing river, watching his sweetheart about to be swept away by the flood, and chooses to look the other way.

He's been reborn, and he's supposed to save her? Dream on!

In this life, Chen Xingping will never marry his childhood sweetheart.

But to his surprise, while fleeing the disaster, Chen Xingping unexpectedly comes across the village beauty, unconscious in the floodwaters.

Chen Xingping carries the stunning village beauty into a mountain cave, where the two of them bare all to each other...

Giving up his childhood sweetheart to marry the village beauty, Chen Xingping takes up hunting and makes life prosperous for his whole family!

Childhood sweetheart: "Brother Xingping, I should have married you. If you still want to marry me, divorce the village beauty and I'll marry you!"

Chen Xingping: "Get lost..."
