From the Start, I Break Free from Fate and Refuse My Family's Broken Engagement

After transmigrating to another world, Zhao Hao’s family tells him to break off his engagement to his fiancée, whose cultivation was destroyed because of a jade pendant. She comes from a small clan. Zhao Hao defies his family and obtains a System that breaks his fate, transforming him from a top-grade single spirit-root cultivator into one with all five elemental roots. His talent reaches new heights!

For the sake of the family’s growth, they want Zhao Hao to absorb the spirit roots of his clan’s younger generation. Zhao Hao refuses and breaks through the shackles of fate, raising his five-element spirit roots to perfection. From then on, no one in the world can match his talent.

What is fate, if not a stepping stone on my path? What are the shackles of destiny, if not a little vine in my way as I break through?

I decide my own fate, not Heaven!
