I Never Knew I’d Meet You

The rat race has reached the wealthy elite! Told from the heroine’s perspective, this is a marriage-first, love-later story; from the hero’s perspective, it’s a reunion after years apart. This is no ordinary strong heroine and strong hero pairing: two perennial runners-up are fighting to get ahead.

A tale makes the rounds in the ENT ward at Hongji Hospital: There are four possible reasons the deputy head nurse, who has never managed to find a boyfriend, is still single. She’s a fish that’s hard to catch, a stubborn mule, a dog obsessed with looks, or someone with a keen instinct for scams.

Then one day, Chang Yuchun suddenly married Chen Keji, the newly appointed vice president of Maisi Beer, leaving the entire hospital in an uproar.

“Don’t get the wrong idea. I only did it to meet the requirements for the promotion.”
