After Leaving the Village, I Wasn't Stupid Anymore

My grandfather went up the mountain to gather firewood and, by a twist of fate, saved a nine-tailed fox. But when he returned home, he died.

As he lay dying, my grandfather smiled and said the nine-tailed fox had promised him that a sage would be born into the Lin family in the future.

A year later, I was born.

I was born with extraordinary signs: three pupils in each eye, eight-colored eyebrows, arms that reached past my knees, and lotus blossoms pouring from my mouth.

After I was born, everyone in the family had good luck, and we soon grew rich.

A mysterious old man arrived with a breathtakingly beautiful young woman named Luo Qingwan, saying she would be my concubine.

But Luo Qingwan tricked me into taking a pill, making my extraordinary signs disappear and turning me into an ordinary person.

Soon, disaster struck my family, and my grandmother was near death. Before she died, she told me not to leave the village for ten years, or a great calamity would befall me. I spent ten years guarding the village, mocked and bullied by everyone.

They all thought I was a fool.

Ten years later, I left the village.

I knew I wasn't a fool anymore.

Those who stole my fortune would pay the price.
