The Gorgeous Sweetheart of the 1970S Makes the Cold Young Educated Man’s Heart Flutter

Most stories feature a hero saving a beauty. For Yu Nian'an, though, it was the beauty who saved the hero. The first time she fished Gu Shen out of the river, Yu Nian'an thought, This guy is really good-looking. Everyone in the village said the new educated youth was all looks and no use, too weak to do any real work. Yu Nian'an disagreed. She liked handsome men. After all, being handsome lasts a moment, but being ugly lasts a lifetime. Looking at how Gu Shen grew more and more handsome, Yu Nian'an was struck by inspiration. A bold idea took shape in her mind. She would weave a net of tenderness and lay her plans carefully, luring Gu Shen, step by step, into willingly living off her. Only after she had finally devoured him did she realize that the villagers had been wrong. The educated youth was not only easy on the eyes, but useful, too.
