After My Half-Sister Swapped Our Marriage Matches, Her Aloof Uncle Spoiled Me Rotten

[Both reborn, switching choices + outwitting a transmigrator] In her previous life, Song Lingyao and her elder half-sister became engaged at the same time. Her sister married into the Duke’s mansion as the heir’s wife, envied by all, while Song Lingyao could only marry a poor, low-ranking official of the sixth rank. But after her sister married into the Duke’s mansion, her life descended into chaos. Before long, the heir’s concubine tormented her until she went mad, and she was left crippled and reviled by everyone. After she was driven out of the Duke’s mansion, no one in the capital pitied her. Instead, everyone praised the heir and his concubine for their steadfast love and devotion. By contrast, Song Lingyao’s husband, who had married into a poor family, steadily rose through the ranks and eventually became prime minister. He even secured for Song Lingyao a first-rank noblewoman’s title. Out of sisterly affection, Song Lingyao could not bear to see her sister suffer and kindly went to help her, only to be stabbed to death by her jealous sister. When Song Lingyao opens her eyes again, she and her sister have both been reborn, back on the day of the Flower Festival banquet when their engagements are to be decided. Ignoring their father’s protests and her mother’s fury, her sister smugly snatches the marriage that was originally meant for Song Lingyao, then boasts about it to her face. “My dear little sister, this time I’ll be the prime minister’s wife! You can look forward to having your hands and feet tendons severed by the heir’s concubine, then being reduced to a prostitute in the pleasure quarter!” Song Lingyao smiles faintly. Whoever wants to be the prime minister’s wife can have the job! She certainly doesn’t want it. She wonders whether her sister will still be able to smile this time when she learns that the sixth-rank official became prime minister by sending his own wife to another man’s bed.
