-

Fang Haisheng, a Penglai Sword Immortal, has lived half his life only to end up poor, setting up a fortune-telling stall on the street.

He can barely earn a few coins a day.

One day, he spots a child on the street.

The child is tiny, yet overflowing with demonic energy!

He follows the child to investigate and discovers that he is the son of a fox demon!

Just as Fang Haisheng is about to exterminate the demon, he discovers there is more to the story.

The child's life wheel is damaged.

To keep him alive, the fox demon gives up all its cultivation and passes its demonic blood and spirit pill to him.

As the fox demon dies, it entrusts the child to him. “Protect this child. I beg you.”

And so, by a twist of fate, Fang Haisheng takes the child as his disciple and keeps him by his side every day.

The master and disciple travel among humans and demons, slowly seeking the Great Way of the world...
