Saintess, Please Give Me Your Heart

[Historical setting + dual secret identities + stand-in + two powerful leads + tragic, striking male lead + unhinged supporting characters] [Qi Hao, head of the secret guards, X Lan Yi, Miao saintess] As the Miao saintess, Lan Yi is harmed by a treacherous enemy. She loses all her martial arts skills and has only three years to live. A miracle healer tells her that only the Bichang Pill, kept in the Prince of Qi’s manor in the Northern Frontier, can cure her poison and extend her life. To infiltrate the manor, she willingly takes the place of Yan Zhuo, the daughter of the Grand Court of Sacrifices from the Kingdom of Qing, who was forcibly seized by Liu Yuan, the heir to the Prince of Qi. What she doesn’t know is that the original Liu Yuan has also long since been replaced. Liu Yuan: “You’re not Yan Zhuo. You have extraordinary skills and act in an inscrutable way. I advise you to remember that you’re a prisoner and stop testing my patience.” Lan Yi smiles knowingly. “That’s right, I’m not Yan Zhuo. But you’re not Liu Yuan either.” And so, to achieve their own aims, the two disguise their identities and play their roles in the Prince of Qi’s manor, beginning a life of wits and daring.
