The Daily Rise of Consort Yu in the Qing Dynasty

The pampered Ji Ning got into a plane accident! When she opened her eyes again, she had become a low-ranking concubine in the harem of Kangxi’s Qing Dynasty. The original owner was frail, lived in a shabby room, came from a humble background, and held a low rank. Anyone could walk all over her. In the palace, the previous champion of palace intrigue, Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, was still alive. Above her was Kangxi’s childhood sweetheart and cousin, Noble Consort Tong Jia, and below her was the future emperor’s mother. What was there to scheme for? She’d better lie low and rest for a while! At the New Year’s banquet, Kangxi looked in confusion at the woman who would rather take a humiliating tumble than throw herself into his arms. “Since when has the palace had such a beauty?” The concubines thought little of her, barely noticing she was there. Little did they know that one day they would all have to bow to her.
