The Kamen Rider Chronicles in Marvel

Tan Daoyi watched through the void as the Kamen Riders he had created battled Thanos's invading army on Earth.

"Looks like this cosmic overlord is going to lose."

Tan Daoyi smiled faintly and said with deeper meaning, "Thanos is a strong man with unwavering convictions. To maintain the balance of the universe, he's prepared to sacrifice everything.

That's something I admire.

But randomly erasing half of all life is far too boring and foolish."

"The choice of who deserves to survive should be more interesting. Only those who demonstrate sufficient resolve and will should be allowed to carry on."

"Still, I can give him a chance to realize his ideals: a trial to select the life and civilizations worthy of continuing, or, you could say... a game."

Then he stretched out both hands, as if holding the world in his palms, and spoke with an easy smile: "This will be another entertaining Kamen Rider game. I look forward to seeing how every character in it performs.

The Great Dao is one. I am that one."
