A Country Doctor’s Wife

A medical professor wakes up as a vain, status-seeking young doctor who looks down on the poor.

Her home is bare, her sleeves empty, and she is utterly penniless.

Though her situation is far from ideal, she has a skill to rely on. She plans to grow medicinal herbs, open a clinic, and use her medical knowledge to build a fortune.

Before she can even roll up her sleeves and get started, her engagement is called off.

Her fiancé says, "I want to pass the imperial exams. You're a quack who kills patients. If I marry you, I'll be saddled with a bad reputation, and my career will be over."

The village head says, "You have no household registration and aren't from Xinghua Village. Now that the engagement is over, hurry up and move away!"

Unexpectedly, the poor scholar next door says, "I'm willing to marry you and register you under my household."

The young couple are devoted to each other, and their life grows more prosperous by the day, attracting a whole crowd of awful relatives.

She tears into the troublemakers and kicks the scoundrels to the curb.
