Arcane Epoch

The Epoch is a world where steam, magic, machinery, alchemy, and supernatural powers coexist.

When Luke, having transmigrated into this world, found himself with his head covered and a gun pointed at it by an imperial agent, he decided to tell a lie.

And so he became the chief inspector of the Secret Intelligence Bureau in the Cape District of the Golden Shield Empire.

Knowing the plot, Luke only wanted to stay alive in this world on the brink of chaos, earn some money, and gather materials to use Secret Words and strengthen his powers.

He robbed, kidnapped, and extorted people, using his knowledge of the plot to plan his crimes. But he never expected that robbing an imperial gold transport ship would somehow lead him to solve the biggest smuggling case in the empire's history!

As a “fake” inspector, holding a promotion order in his hands, Luke felt... pretty screwed.
