After the Divorce, the Top Scholar's Wife Becomes a Hit in Ancient Times by Writing Books

[Impoverished but never bitter top scorer VS sharp-tongued top-tier star of the Li Kingdom]

One moment, Fang Ruo was thinking how glad she was that Liu Ya had died. The next, she had become Liu Ya, whose body had been dumped in a great river!

Her husband was a drunk, her mother-in-law was cruel, and her own parents thought a divorce would bring shame on the family, so they turned around and sold her to a matchmaker.

Luckily, a poor scholar passing by had a kind heart and saved her from misery for two taels of silver.

From then on, he studied hard by lamplight while she told stories in a teahouse. He headed to the capital to sit the imperial exams and pursue an official career, while she secretly wrote books to make money.

What happened after that, you ask?

Naturally, the poor scholar married into a powerful family (not), and the abandoned wife went on a thousand-mile journey to find her husband (nope).

You think that plot is too cliché?

Fang Ruo smacked her storyteller’s block on the table. The literati and the princes and nobles all raised their arms and shouted, "Down with the faithless scoundrel! Fang Da is the GOAT!"

And so, the world in which only the top scorer got hurt was complete.
