Lu Xinyan is pregnant, but she has no idea who the child's father is. For the sake of the baby, she decides to get a divorce.

Qin Muchi, whom she married just a week ago, pressures her to terminate the pregnancy.

Lu Xinyan refuses to back down, and the two become strangers from then on.

The hospital catches fire on the day she gives birth. The blaze destroys her beauty, swallows her memories, and leaves her to suffer the agony of being separated from her child.

Seven years later.

She returns with her child.

When the truth finally comes to light,

that man holds her close and presses her down, whispering in her ear,

“Wife, you've taken such good care of our child. When are you going to take care of my needs too? It's been so many years, and we've only done it once. Aren't you afraid I'll get sick if this goes on?”
