Great Tang: With Heaven-Defying Comprehension, You're Already the Emperor's Teacher at Eight?

Li Yan transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty, in the early years of the Zhenguan era, and unlocks the Heaven-Defying Insight System. At eight years old, he goes to the capital to take the imperial examinations.

At the provincial exam, he delivers a sweeping discourse on state policy, leaving Li Er completely dumbfounded!

What internal and external threats?

The Hu are invading on horseback? Then fight them!

Once they’re defeated, cut off their hair and change their clothing, and bring unity to all under heaven!

The aristocratic clans have deep roots?

Then use steel fortifications to make them collapse from within, and open the way for poor scholars across the realm, uprooting their very foundations!

With Li Yan around, the Tang Dynasty can never be what it was before!

Studying the scriptures can’t save the old dynasty. Li Yan is the one who will preserve the imperial house and secure its rule forever!

Li Shimin: This child is eight? Is he really eight?

Three years later, Li Yan becomes the emperor’s teacher.

As the officials kneel before him in court,

Li Yan says, “I’m still just a child!”
