The Foolish Prince's Concubine

Jiang Yingge, the eldest daughter of a concubine-born branch of the Jiang family, was forced to marry the Thirteenth Prince, whose mind was said to be that of a five-year-old. After spending day and night together, she accepted her fate as the foolish prince's consort. But in the end, she discovered that when it came to power and ambition, he was anything but foolish. He made her one of his concubines, let the women in his harem fight for his favor, and, for the sake of the woman he loved, made her suffer the agony of having her skin flayed. To secure his empire, he was even willing to offer her to a foreign emperor! At last, just as she came to her senses and resolved to leave this world of strife, he locked her away in the Cold Palace.

“Want to leave? Jiang Yingge, unless I give my permission, you don't even have the right to die.”

“Your Majesty, all I remember is that the man who called me his wife was my husband!”
