Short History Videos: A Countdown of the Top Ten Emperors!

Zhang Wei is invited to become a video creator for a platform called the All-Heavens Historical Video Platform.

The website claims to connect every parallel historical world. Once Zhang Wei publishes a video, people in all those worlds will be able to watch it. The platform also boasts huge traffic and generous tips.

So Zhang Wei tries posting a short video called “The Top Ten Emperors.”

Qin Shi Huang: “I unified the realm and laid the foundations for ten thousand generations. I am the greatest emperor among the top ten.”

Zhu Yuanzhang: “I was born a commoner and fought my way to supremacy step by step, sweeping away my enemies. I must be the greatest emperor among the top ten.”

Emperor Gaozu of Han: “My military achievements are unmatched under heaven. I am the greatest emperor of all, by far.”

Before long, the emperors are clicking on the video. After watching the top ten, some are delighted and others miserable. Some are so furious they spit blood, while others argue endlessly in the comments. A few even bribe Zhang Wei to make videos praising them, while others offer money just to save face in his videos.

The tips keep getting higher, one emperor after another trying to outdo the rest.

Zhang Wei realizes he’s found a lucrative opportunity, so he keeps posting short videos such as “The Top Ten Most Tragic Figures in History.” Each one causes a tremendous uproar and sends shock waves through the parallel historical worlds.
