The Top Scholar's Fortunate Farmer Wife

A PhD in agriculture transmigrates into the body of a sweet young woman from a farming family. Her father has just died, her mother is frail, and her second aunt is a real firebrand. Trouble has just broken out in the family. Kicked out of the house? Time to settle the accounts. She faces her second aunt's endless haranguing, takes the money, and walks right out. Nowhere to go? She takes a stroll around town and finds everything she needs, while scouting out business opportunities and striking at just the right moment. What to do when you're poor? Take it one step at a time. With her expertise in cultivating fungi, she can grow all kinds of mushrooms and build a fortune. Just as her business is taking off thanks to her professional skills, a young man shows up, claiming to be a comrade-in-arms her father once saved. He seems to come from a powerful background, and says he wants to marry her! Not marrying, not marrying! Getting rich is more important! The young man produces a piece of paper. “Your father wrote this marriage contract. You have to marry me whether you like it or not...” She rolls her eyes. “Don't try to fool me. My father couldn't read or write!” The young man: “...”
