I Failed to Help the Male Lead Ascend, So I’ll Do It Myself

On the day Lian Yu killed her master, the Heavenly Dao found her, the woman it hated and who was about to slip beyond its control. It didn't know that Lian Yu had long been aware of its hatred for her, and despised the fate of destroying her cultivation and sacrificing herself to Heaven. From the moment she was born, Lian Yu had been burdened with the mission of opening the path to immortality. Everyone loved her, revered her, and hoped she would ascend. They also hoped she would... die to give the world a chance to survive. She would defy fate and change her destiny. Starting by killing her master. With a thought the Heavenly Dao had never noticed, she took in its son while he was still a pitiful little thing. When she realized the little thing had grown dependent on her, Lian Yu didn't care. She simply thought this sword would be even more useful. The little thing broke free of her control, dropped the sword in his hand, and tried to stay by her side forever. Lian Yu pondered for a moment: correcting a mistake was harder than simply choosing someone else. So she turned around and supported a new child of the Heavenly Dao. She left behind the young man who had already fallen into the path of love, doomed to never escape it. The small world cannot be without its protagonist, so the Heavenly Dao orders the heroine to bring him back to the right path. Lian Yu: Of course. I'll take good care of my... sword spirit. Zhan Ruzhi thought that as long as he remained useful, his senior sister would let him stay by her side. But when he watched her put on her wedding dress and walk away without looking back, he suddenly understood. Only by picking up a sword... by becoming her sword, could he stay by her side. A half-demon heroine hated by the Heavenly Dao × the Heavenly Dao's son, a sword spirit, as the male lead Content warning: Male-lead devotees, beware. The male lead suffers. Both leads are sexually inexperienced. At heart, this is a romance about the heroine becoming an immortal while the male lead seeks her love.
