Reborn as the Phoenix: Your Highness, Please Take Me as Your Bride

She was once the Princess Consort of Great Zhou. After her younger sister and a scoundrel conspired against her, her daughter was sold, her son died in the womb, and she was beaten and cursed as a wanton woman.

She was thrown into a pig cage and drowned in a lake. Before she died, she swore to the heavens: “I refuse to be reborn. I would rather become a vengeful ghost, haunting my enemies day and night and wailing beside their pillows.”

Heaven took pity on her. After five years of trials across time and space, she has returned to take her revenge.

Her fate is in her own hands. She protects her position and fights her sister, her fighting spirit blazing to life.

The palace sees the cat-for-prince scheme play out once again. Only then does she realize she is a noble princess who had fallen into the mortal world.

Her fearsome reputation spreads throughout the capital. She prepares to grow old alone, never imagining that the poor young man who argues with her every time they meet, yet quietly supports her behind the scenes, would actually propose.

Return to the palace, or leave for a distant land?
