The Palace's Long Farewell

[Pure palace intrigue at first, with very little romance. The focus is on a palace maid rising through the ranks and taking revenge.]

In her previous life, Gu Qinghuan had been cautious and humble. She only wanted to be a diligent palace maid, save enough silver, and leave the palace to live freely.

Only as she lay dying did she learn that her entire life had been shaped by other people's schemes, and that even the one who had sent her into the palace was the lofty Empress Dowager herself.

She was unwilling to accept it. When she opened her eyes and found herself back before the events began, she decided to return to the Directorate of Palace Affairs and expose the vile true nature of everyone there.

None of them were any good, so why shouldn't she take charge of the Directorate herself? She had to reach the very pinnacle of power before she could take revenge on those who had wronged her, didn't she?

But then...

It turned out that the eunuch Dunzi from Flying Snow Pavilion wasn't a eunuch at all. And now he was saying he wanted to marry her and make her Crown Princess!?
