A Boy with Stars in His Eyes

I sneaked across the Celestial River, hoping to pluck its brightest star and give it to you, only to discover that none of them could compare to your eyes.

When she fell for him, she was just a soft-hearted little girl. She didn't know what love was; she only knew that one look at those eyes, bright as the stars, was all it took.

The boy's eyes held a sea of stars, concealing endless loneliness and sorrow.

Then one day, he found a pitiful “fawn” in the woods and walked her home. Holding her soft little hand, he imagined she would be so grateful she'd offer herself to him.

From then on, the flightless bird had someone to rely on for the rest of her life.

But later, he plunged into endless darkness amid a blaze of fire, his wings broken and his pride shattered. He could never again live openly beneath the sun.

At last, battered by the cruelty of the world, the boy who once had starlight in his eyes fell into the abyss and drowned in darkness.

Who could save him?

Mo Qingqian: I never imagined I would meet him. I thought there would never again be a trace of warmth or sunlight in my barren life, but he was like a god.

Jiang Yeli: In this vulgar world, I can't even save myself. How could I possibly save her?
